Job Purpose Summary
The Product Manager Biosurgery DACH drives the development and execution of the regional marketing and product strategy for the Biosurgery portfolio across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The position manages full lifecycle product activities, multi-channel promotional campaigns, congress participation, and sales force enablement in close collaboration with Medical, Sales, and Global Marketing. Additionally, this role serves as a key partner for Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and external partners to drive continuous market leadership and business growth.
This is a home-based, full time, permanent position. Periodic travel will be required.
What you will do
- Develop and execute the DACH Biosurgery strategy within a cross-functional team (Marketing, Medical, Sales). Lead annual strategic planning for marketing activities, national congresses, marketing budget, and external partner collaborations.
- Conceive, execute, and evaluate multi-channel marketing campaigns and targeted messaging in close coordination with Medical and Global Marketing. Prepare and execute product launches (e.g., new indications, line extensions, new products).
- Design and implement promotional materials, product documentation, and sales argumentations for the field sales force. Prepare and conduct product training for the sales team, maintaining and training the digital promotional tool.
- Perform market and competitor analyses to adjust commercial strategies and counter competitive threats. Manage forecasting, KPI tracking, and regular performance reporting to GM DACH and Global Marketing.
- Manage participation at medical congresses and surgical training courses. Lead customer retention and co-creation projects (e.g., webinars, podcasts) in partnership with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and surgical societies.
- Collaborate with external service providers (e.g., design agencies, booth builders, logistics). Roll out regional and global initiatives while actively shaping team meetings.
- Record and forward adverse event reports and product complaints in alignment with regulatory guidelines.
What you will need
- degree in Business Administration/MBA, Medicine, Pharmacy, or Life Sciences
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Marketing, Product, or Brand Manager in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry. Field sales experience is desirable.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical law frameworks (e.g., AMG, HWG, TFG) as well as surgical/operative procedure knowledge is preferred. Strong ability to understand scientific literature regarding surgical pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and sales-driven mindset within a competitive landscape. Excellent organizational, project management, and cross-functional team skills. High level of customer orientation, hands-on mentality, flexibility, and creativity.
- Business fluent / excellent command of English (written and verbal). Proficiency in MS Office
- Willingness to travel including overnight stays for congresses, surgical training courses, and customer meetings is required. (6-8 times a year)
