Your tasks
Product Ownership & Commercial Strategy
- Translate customer expectations and country needs into clear product requirements
• Define, align and drive the product vision and roadmap for digital customs services that enhance our cross-border eCommerce offering in alignment with functional and country stakeholders
• Identify commercial opportunities where customs technology can support growth, improve conversion and customer loyalty
• Ensure product scalability and alignment with the broader eCommerce strategy
- Analyze and benchmark digital customs solution providers and services
• Lead the vendor selection process in collaboration with IT, Customs & Trade Law Compliance and country stakeholders
• Evaluate technical capabilities, commercial value, and integration readiness of external solutions
- Manage end-to-end implementation of selected solutions and support onboarding of those in the countries
• Work with IT on system integration design
• Oversee pilots, testing, rollout plans, and deployments
• Ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and optimized for operational use
- Serve as main point of contact for digital commercial customs solutions
• Engage country teams to gather requirements and understand market needs
• Drive alignment with Compliance while they hold final approval
• Communicate product updates and value propositions
• Actively manage relationships with vendors to ensure smooth run and development of solutions
- Gather feedback and continuously improve the product
• Coordinate with vendors on roadmap updates, commercials and issue resolution (in cooperation with IT)
- Monitor changes in the global regulatory and customs environment together with the Customs function
• Translate regulatory developments into actionable guidance for countries, ensuring clarity on required adaptations
• Identify which products, solutions, or volume flows may be impacted by upcoming regulatory requirements
• Support countries in understanding implications and prepare required updates to digital customs solutions and tools
Experience & Qualifications
Must-Have
• 5+ years of experience in product management, digital logistics, cross-border eCommerce, or customs technology
• Understanding of customs-relevant data
• Technical understanding (API architecture, integrations, data exchange)
• Experience in international, matrixed organizations
• Ability to translate market needs into (digital) product requirements
• Fluent in English, other languages are a plus
Nice-to-Have
• Experience with Zonos, Hurricane, Avalara, etc.
• Background in digital product implementation
• Knowledge of agile methodologies
• Familiarity with customs workflows in eCommerce
