COMPETE is a full-service progressive digital marketing agency combining proven strategies from Silicon Valley with decades of political experience.
We are seeking two exceptional designers to join our award-winning creative team through the November election. Both positions are full-time, fully remote, and seasonal — running from September to November 2026 — focused on electoral and advocacy advertising.
Position 1: Seasonal Web Graphic Designer
We're looking for an experienced web graphic designer responsible for creating high-quality, engaging animations, video content, and social media ads for our clients.
Position 2: Seasonal Multimedia Designer
We're looking for an experienced After Effects animator and Premiere Pro video editor with strong design skills, responsible for creating high-quality, engaging animations, video content, and social media ads for our clients.
Both roles offer the opportunity to contribute to meaningful progressive campaigns during a critical election cycle as part of an award-winning creative team.
Requirements
Seasonal Web Graphic Designer
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the creative and digital teams to design engaging digital advertising assets for political campaigns, advocacy organizations, and nonprofit clients.
Design static, animated GIF, and HTML5 banner ads that meet industry specifications and platform requirements.
Build, edit, and optimize landing pages using Leadpages (we will provide training), maintaining visual consistency and a strong, conversion-focused design.
Update and maintain WordPress websites, including page layouts, content updates, graphics, and basic troubleshooting.
Create digital assets for websites, email campaigns, social media, and online advertising.
Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standards.
Participate in daily team meetings and project briefings.
Keep up to date with the latest design trends and techniques.
You:
Exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to work quickly under tight deadlines. Political timelines are very short, so we have to respond to client needs as quickly as possible.
Able to work remotely—we communicate via Gmail, Asana, Slack, Harvest, and Zoom.
Willingness to work weird hours and tough schedules, primarily around Election and Primary Week(s). After our busy periods, every team member is expected to take significant time off to reset.
Independent worker, but knows when to get feedback or help when running into issues. You aren’t afraid of constructive criticism.
Out-of-the-box thinker—you aren’t afraid to fail or try new ideas. Digital is constantly evolving, so we are always testing and implementing new technologies and best practices.
Requirements:
Proven experience designing digital advertising creative, with a strong portfolio showcasing banner ads, web design, and landing pages (required).
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (required).
Experience creating animated GIF and HTML5 display ads (required).
Working knowledge of WordPress, including page editing and content management (required).
Experience building and editing landing pages in Leadpages or similar landing page platforms (required).
Understanding of responsive web design, typography, user experience, and conversion-focused design principles (required).
Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS (required).
Political campaign or advocacy experience (bonus—not required).
Written and verbal Spanish language skills (bonus—not required).
Your Team:
The Seasonal Web Graphic Designer will be a member of our Creative Team, creating the visual assets used to support the long-term success of our client’s online advertising efforts. The Web Graphic Designer will primarily work with our Creative Director and Production Manager.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 per year
Seasonal Multimedia Designer
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the creative team to conceptualize, design, edit, and produce animated content for various projects including candidate videos, promotional videos, and social media content.
Work with a wide range of video footage, audio and other assets to create engaging and dynamic video content using Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.
Utilize design skills to enhance video content, including color correction, graphic design, and typography.
Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standards.
Participate in daily team meetings and project briefings.
Keep up to date with the latest design trends and techniques.

Your Team:
The Multimedia Designer will be a member of our Creative Team, creating the visual assets used to support the long-term success of our client’s online advertising efforts. The Multimedia Designer will primarily work with our Creative Director and Production Manager and may also collaborate with our Web Development team.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 per year
