About the Team and the role:

As a member of the search ranking team, you will help shape the strategic direction of our search products. You will focus on improving search result rankings and developing new search technologies. You will collaborate with experts who apply advanced data science methods to build relevant search experiences. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to join the search ranking team and enhance how search results are ranked. As the ranking Product Manager, you will lead initiatives that improve the overall search experience for customers and support revenue growth for the company. The candidate must be comfortable with ambiguity and experienced in defining requirements, coordinating across teams, and communicating with executives. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, applied researchers, and analytics teams to develop solutions. The candidate should be skilled at making decisions based on data and analyzing large datasets.
What You Will Accomplish:
- Accomplishing ranking strategy and owning roadmap for search ranking.
- Data-driven product prioritization with a balance of near-term deliverables and longer-term investment in technology platforms
- Optimally communicate strategies & trade-offs up to senior leaders and down to development teams
- Putting the customer first, understand market-specific nuances and identify science algorithm improvements to address unique market-specific needs
- Driving collaboration across multiple teams to ensure teams are aligned and are working towards solving customer problems
- Manage A/B testing to find launch candidates that boost metrics
What You Will Bring:
- 5+ years of solid experience in product management. Ideally have prior experience developing customer-focused platform products that provide value to both sides of a marketplace (buyers and sellers)
- A demonstrated history of creating fresh, inventive, and captivating customer experiences guided by customer data from multiple sources (market research, A/B testing, user research)
- A customer and Search Engine obsession with a passion for everything related to technology, and technology-based innovation to build great experiences for the customers
- Strong quantitative skills with a data-first approach; ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Technically savvy (prefer a technical role in past, or Computer Science Degree)
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; Master's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
