At its headquarters in Harsewinkel, CLAAS Selbstfahrende Erntemaschinen develops, tests, and manufactures combine harvesters, forage harvesters, and system tractors across a 400,000 m² facility. With more than 2,000 employees, we are the largest company within the CLAAS Group and take on cross-company and cross-country responsibilities in production, research and development, as well as in numerous business functions.
Your role in our team:
- Interface between Sales and the responsible Product Unit
- Identification and evaluation of potential new market segments and applications
- Coordination of the product portfolio, including lifecycle management of options (launch/discontinuation)
- Responsibility for creating specifications for future models and options
- Prioritization of product improvements based on market observation and exchange with Sales
- Pricing and positioning of products in a global environment
- Continuous improvement of profitability and increase of market share as well as equipment rate
- Ongoing market observation including competitor activities and trends in agricultural engineering and processes
- Active support of development projects in accordance with the CLAAS development process
- Coordination of the sales strategy with the sales organization
Your profile:
- Successfully completed technical degree (e.g., agricultural engineering, agricultural sciences, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or similar) or comparable qualification
- Professional experience in agricultural machinery / harvesting equipment (knowledge of CLAAS products is plus)
- Several years of practical experience in product management in an international company
- Strong technical affinity combined with solid business knowledge
- Proficient IT skills
- Fluent English skills, both written and spoken
- Excellent communication skills in an international environment and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders
- Assertiveness and strong moderation skills
- Analytical and solution-oriented thinking, as well as a goal-oriented, independent, and structured working style
- Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally
