Key responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage the marketing of ABB's offerings to targeted market segments and manage the offerings throughout their lifecycle, in line with market needs and division/product group/business line strategy and targets. Each day, you will be accountable for the long-term profitable growth of an offer. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting business results by overseeing each step involved in the offer lifecycle including development, launch, go-to-market, maintenance, pricing, and profitability.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Leading the strategic work by analyzing the market and identifying potential gaps in the portfolio, with respect to the competition and new market opportunities.
- Owning technical and market specification for the offer and determining an offering business plan that supports sustainable growth while leading customer need and value analysis, planning the roadmap to create maximum value, and following-up on portfolio performance.
- Leading the operational Product management work, including offer lifecycle management process, analyzing current offers, defining & tracking performance metrics, update marketing materials, and master data.
- Setting targets, monitoring offering costs and giving inputs to operations functions (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Production) to maximize competitiveness and profitability.
You will join a high-performing team responsible for development and support of Installation and Mini Contactors, where you will be able to thrive.
Qualifications for the role
- Educational Background: Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or other relevant background.
- Professional Experience: 2+ years in product management or sales with strong domain expertise within the electrification sector, a solid technical foundation and strong business acumen.
- Personal Attributes: Ambitious, self-motivated, and customer-focused, with a keen awareness of market and competitor dynamics. A solution-oriented team player who listens, collaborates and communicates, but who also can work independently with high self-drive and ability to quickly generate results.
- Adaptability: Resilient in dynamic environments, with a structured approach and the ability to see the bigger picture.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in both written and spoken English and German.
