As Product Manager (f/m/x) for Metrology Sensors Coordinate & Vision Measuring Machines (CMM & VMM) you own and drive the global sensor portfolio for CMMs and VMMs, shaping strategy, market positioning, and commercial success end-to-end.
Your Role
- Customer & market focus - Acting as the voice of the customer, translating complex metrology sensor performance requirements into clear product concepts and value propositions.
- Stakeholder & interface management - Ensuring close alignment with CMM & VMM product management and other internal stakeholders to guarantee platform fit and a coherent solution offering.
- Collaborate closely with R&D on concept decisions, prototypes and beta tests at pilot customers and derive targeted market and competitor insights (accuracy, cycle time, automation capability, software integration) to sharpen product positioning and guide portfolio decisions.
- Go-to-market & sales enablement - Planning and executing global product launches, creating go-to-market concepts, and enabling regional sales organizations with training and sales tools
- Business & portfolio steering - Monitoring commercial performance, defining pricing and portfolio measures, and initiating corrective actions to achieve growth and margin targets.
- Lifecycle management - Managing the entire product lifecycle from ideation, specification and development to launch, maintenance, enhancement and phase-out.
Your Profile
- Degree in a technical field such as physics, mechanical engineering, or a comparable engineering/science discipline.
- Several years in B2B industrial environments, ideally within metrology,
- Strong technical expertise with the ability to guide and challenge R&D teams, driving sound and robust decisions in complex development projects.
- Proven track record in managing product roadmaps from idea generation and validation through to launch and full lifecycle management.
- Clear, confident communicator with the ability to work effectively across functions and stakeholder levels in large organizations.
- High level of initiative, strong analytical skills, and a structured, solution-oriented approach with full end-to-end accountability.
