Product Manager (f/m/x) - Biomedical Software Ecosystem

Your responsibilities
As Product Manager (f/m/x) in our Digital Lab Solutions department, you will help shape and grow a biomedical software ecosystem that improves laboratory workflows and patient care. Our portfolio scope is steadily expanding with exciting new software products that accelerate digital innovation and transformation in laboratory diagnostics and beyond. In this role, you will take ownership of defined product areas, translate user needs into clear priorities and work closely with software engineering, quality & regulatory, and commercial functions to deliver meaningful, long-term outcomes.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Defining and driving product vision, roadmap, lifecycle strategy and ecosystem capabilities in alignment with business strategy
- Contributing to portfolio decisions, including make/buy/partner evaluations and ecosystem expansion
- Translating clinical, laboratory, regulatory and business needs into secure, scalable and compliant digital software solutions across instruments, middleware, cloud platforms, data services and AI-enabled applications
- Implementing incremental release strategies and supporting consistent release cycles within an IVD-compliant environment
- Owning the product lifecycle from concept through development, validation, release and post-market surveillance in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders
- Managing product requirements, user needs, intended use, clinical claims, product backlog, release scope, versioning and lifecycle planning within an IVD-compliant environment
- Collaborating closely with software engineering teams in agile or hybrid development models to ensure timely and value-driven product delivery
- Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards together with QA/RA, including traceability, risk-based decision-making and audit-ready documentation
- Driving interoperability, consistency and harmonized user experiences (UX) across the software ecosystem, harmonized data models and workflows
- Supporting go-to-market readiness through product documentation, stakeholder enablement and training activities
- Monitoring product performance, driving 3rd level support activities and continuous improvement based on customer feedback, usage data, service reports and complaint trends

Your profile
You are a strong match if you combine product management expertise in regulated software environments with a user-centric mindset, strong stakeholder management skills and a passion for digital transformation in healthcare.
Ideally, you bring the following qualifications and strengths:
- Degree in biomedical technology, bioinformatics, computer science or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in product management for clinical laboratory, IVD or regulated medical software products
- Experience with software platforms, digital ecosystems, interoperability standards and AI-based applications in healthcare environments
- Experience working in agile cross-functional teams within regulated medical software or IVD environments
- Knowledge of clinical laboratory workflows, operational requirements and customer needs in diagnostic environments
- Knowledge of product lifecycle management, software release processes and collaboration with QA/RA functions in regulated environments
- Strong stakeholder management, prioritization and communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics and trade-offs clearly
- Fluent English, additional German language skills are an advantage
