Description
The Genesee Foundation, a self-managed homeowners’ association for the larger Genesee community, in the foothills of Jefferson County, Colorado, is seeking a dynamic, personable, self-motivated, action-oriented Facilities Manager.
Genesee exists in harmony with the area's mountain setting and 1,200 acres of dedicated open space, 12 miles of hiking trails, forest land, and abundant wildlife, with amenities including three clubhouses, one playground, two outdoor pools, four tennis courts, a well-equipped fitness center, 2 pickle ball courts, and miles of trails and private drives.
Our Culture:
At Genesee, we are positive towards our work, our challenges and each other. We are welcoming to everyone, and we respect each other’s personal time and balance that time with work to ensure sustainability. We actively work to foster good communication and we speak to people directly to address issues. We treat each other with respect and support each other, collaborating and working as one cohesive unit. Our managers supportively coach their staff, extending “smart trust” and holding people constructively accountable for their commitments. Our managers address issues decisively. They help staff grow and develop as a team and individually, avoiding micromanaging. Our managers offer feedback and teaching moments continually. They listen to staff, remove roadblocks, and genuinely demonstrate appreciation.
In our daily work, a safe environment and regular safety training are critical. Given our seasonality, we are all willing to work together to get the job done well, on time, and within budget. When we need staff, tools, space, or other resources to meet our community’s high standards, we make our needs known constructively and clearly, understanding the community has many competing priorities. When priorities conflict, staff seeks common sense solutions with the Community Manager’s counsel if necessary.
