As a Product Manager at AXON Networks, we are seeking a highly skilled and independent Product Engineer with extensive experience in core networking, Customer Premises Equipment (CPE), embedded devices, Wi-Fi, Linux, Cisco, Juniper technologies, broadband, and Wi-Fi alliance specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and will be capable of driving product requirements, build solutions for customers independently.
Responsibilities:
- Product Development and Management:
- Lead the definition, design, and development of networking products and CPE devices
- Own the product lifecycle from concept through deployment, with strong involvement in technical decision-making
- Translate complex technical requirements into clear product specifications
- Work closely with engineering teams on architecture, design trade-offs, and implementation
- ISP & Technical Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with ISP engineering teams to understand technical requirements and constraints
- Define and drive solutions tailored to broadband and CPE environments
- Support technical validation, deployment, and troubleshooting when needed
- Participate in technical discussions (not sales-led engagements) with partners.
- Execution & Ownership:
- Work independently across multiple projects and priorities
- Identify technical gaps, propose improvements, and drive innovation
- Take ownership of product outcomes, with a strong problem-solving mindset
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product engineering with a focus on core networking
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- Technical Expertise (Must-Have):
- Strong knowledge of core networking:
- TCP/IP, routing, switching, network security
- Experience with access technologies:
- GPON, XGS-PON, DSL
- Solid understanding of Wi-Fi technologies and standards (IEEE / Wi-Fi Alliance)
- Strong proficiency in Linux (scripting, system configuration, debugging).
- Technical Expertise (Nice-to-Have)
- Experience with embedded systems development or integration
- Familiarity with vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or similar ecosystems
- Experience working on end-to-end broadband or home network solutions
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deliver results on time.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with cloud-based networking solutions.
- Knowledge of network automation tools and practices.
