WELCOME TO BASFIn the Performance Chemicals Division, it is all about customized products. The division's portfolio includes plastics additives, fuel and lubricant solutions as well as oilfield chemicals, mining solutions and chemical as well as refinery catalysts. The customers who benefit from our innovative solutions are from various industries, including the chemicals, plastics, consumer goods, energy and resources as well as the automotive and transportation industries.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
In our Global Product Management unit, we actively shape the strategic direction of our global product portfolio in the Performance Chemicals business. Together with international partners along the entire value chain, we drive innovation, profitability, and sustainable growth.
- In your new position, you are responsible for actively monitoring raw material costs, deriving cost-saving measures in close collaboration with Controlling, and evaluating strategic sourcing and pre-buying decisions.
- In addition, you drive the introduction of new raw material sources at the sites and act as the key contact for Procurement regarding all site-relevant raw materials.
- Furthermore, you monitor and manage site-related fixed costs, initiate internal and external benchmarks to assess the competitiveness of production assets, and evaluate CAPEX and OPEX projects as the business focal point.
- You manage available capacities, plan them long-term, ensure optimal utilization, and actively participate in operational site and planning meetings.
- Last but not least, you ensure product quality and supply reliability, coordinate safety stock decisions with the supply chain, and are responsible for asset-related MOC processes, specifications, and quality topics.
WHAT YOU OFFER
- completed master's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Business Administration, or a comparable, business-related field
- at least five years of professional experience in marketing, product management, supply chain, sales, R&D, or production-related environments
- strong analytical, project management, technical, and commercial skills, as well as proven leadership competencies without disciplinary responsibility
- excellent English skills and strong communication abilities
- team player with intercultural competence and willingness to travel occasionally
