Job DescriptionThe Associate Principal - Data Product Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping, evolving, and executing the strategic direction of a portfolio of data‑driven products. This role operates at the intersection of market engagement, data strategy, and solution design, translating complex business challenges and partner needs into scalable, high‑impact products.
The position is responsible for ensuring products are commercially viable, market‑relevant, and aligned with sector and regulatory requirements. A core mandate is to stay ahead of market, regulatory, and data trends locally and regionally, leading the full product lifecycle from ideation and validation through rollout, enablement, and ongoing enhancement.
Success in this role requires deep expertise in data assets, customer behavior, sector dynamics, and product strategy, combined with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross‑functional execution.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Market & Partner Engagement
- Build and manage strategic relationships with CXOs, business heads, and senior stakeholders across partner organizations.
- Engage existing and prospective partners to identify unmet needs and uncover new data‑driven use cases.
- Lead consultative discussions by articulating product value propositions in a data‑led and commercially relevant manner.
- Organize and deliver workshops, webinars, and product demonstrations tailored to sector and partner needs.
Product Ideation & Conceptualization
- Lead structured product ideation based on market feedback, partner demand signals, and emerging data opportunities.
- Translate business challenges and sector gaps into scalable product concepts and solution frameworks.
- Identify opportunities to enhance existing products or introduce new offerings aligned with ecosystem priorities.
Business Case & Go‑To‑Market Strategy
- Define end‑to‑end product business cases, including commercial viability, revenue potential, and strategic alignment.
- Establish go‑to‑market frameworks covering pricing strategy, operating models, distribution channels, and success metrics.
- Support sales and commercial teams through value articulation, use‑case packaging, and commercialization planning.
Product Design & Development
- Define detailed business requirements through Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).
- Coordinate the development of product prototypes and minimum viable products (MVPs).
- Conduct pre‑rollout validation with target partners to assess relevance, usability, and market appetite.
Product Lifecycle & Rollout Management
- Lead and coordinate product rollout planning with internal stakeholders.
- Ensure operational readiness across technology, processes, and partner delivery channels.
- Drive sales enablement to support successful product launches and adoption.
Data Strategy & Source Development
- Identify new and existing "golden" data sources to support product development and enhancement.
- Assess data acquisition opportunities in collaboration with public and private sector data partners.
- Articulate the commercial, business, and ecosystem value of data exchange opportunities.
Data Mapping & Product Integration
- Identify relevant data attributes and map them to product concepts and analytical use cases.
- Assess the impact of new data integrations on existing products, scores, and decisioning tools.
- Collaborate with analytics and technology teams to operationalize data within product frameworks.
- Support development of SOPs for new data sources, including submission frequency, validation rules, and correction processes.
- Create and continuously refine data dictionaries to ensure clarity and long‑term usability of data assets.
Regulatory & Industry Alignment
- Monitor regulatory developments, policies, and circulars and assess their impact on products and data usage.
- Ensure product strategies remain compliant, agile, and aligned with supervisory expectations.
- Engage with industry bodies and forums to capture structured market and sector feedback.
Internal Collaboration & Market Development
- Partner closely with technology, analytics, and partnership teams to enable seamless delivery.
- Lead cross‑functional discovery initiatives to develop tailored partner propositions.
- Explore local and regional market trends to identify opportunities for sector and product expansion.
- Represent products in industry events, conferences, and outreach initiatives.
- Strengthen market awareness and reinforce value propositions within the ecosystem.
Governance & Risk Alignment
- Ensure all product initiatives comply with governance, risk, and compliance standards.
- Support effective change management and cross‑functional alignment across initiatives.
Job Requirements
Education & Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (Required)
- Proficiency in English (Required)
- Proficiency in Arabic (Preferred)
- Strong collaboration and cross‑functional teamwork skills (Required)
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving capabilities (Required)
Experience & Knowledge
- 7-12 years of experience in consulting, product development, or product strategy across multiple sectors (Required)
- Experience with business information, data platforms, or credit bureau environments (Advantageous)
- Proven track record of managing the full product lifecycle from ideation to launch (Required)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and cross‑functional coordination experience (Required)
- Familiarity with regulatory environments and assessing product impact from policy changes (Preferred)
- Knowledge of technology and software applications in business environments (Required)
- Understanding of commercial agreements and partnership frameworks (Required)
