The ideal candidate possesses strong conceptual thinking and sound business strategies to design and implement comprehensive marketing programs. Self-motivation, strong communication, and organization skills are a must.
Provide guidance and vision for ongoing improvement of brand identity
Develop and implement marketing plans, including promotional calendars and programs
Conduct customer, brand, and product research initiatives
Offer expert advice to develop innovative advertising, public relations, social media, and events
Work with new business development and sales teams on brand initiatives and provide ongoing support for business development efforts
Negotiate with media partners to guarantee advantageous contracts
Manage agency providers, consultants, freelancers, and other suppliers, including contract negotiation and management
Demonstrate excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
Oversee and manage SBC’s company website
Write/develop marketing copy for direct mail, website, brochures, articles, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
Maintain company marketing image library both electronically, file drawers and archives – analyze new projects for photography needs
Identify projects for photography, schedule, attend and finalize photos
Develop and manage marketing budget
Monitor costs and budgets
Identify PR opportunities
Oversee trade shows and conferences including research, cost-benefit, attendee registration, identify potential client meetings, reservations, etc.
Manage Request for Proposal (RFP) process: timeline, development, and delivery
Research business development leads and interview prospects/clients for RFP development
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, MS Office applications, particularly those used in the preparation of marketing material
Ability to travel, including on airline flights, and occasionally to stay overnight.
Identify swag, order & maintain materials
Help onboard team members including business cards, headshots, press releases, etc.

Minimum 4-year degree in Marketing or related field
8 years or more professional experience in the marketing field
