The USC Thornton School of Music is seeking a knowledgeable , energetic and highly organized Design and Production Coordinator to join our team. This position works closely with the Director of Communications, and duties will include coordination of the schoolâs events calendar and promotion across print and digital platforms, and oversight of various design projects for the schoolâs content development. The ideal candidate has a background in communications, project management, graphic design, multimedia production, and/or event promotion.
A bachelorâs degree and a minimum of two years experience in communications, event promotion, and/or graphic design; a basic foundation in the Adobe Creative Suite, with a focus on Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere; and an understanding of web-based applications like Wordpress. Also needed is a working knowledge of managing content using a CMS, operating audio & video equipment and editing a variety of digital media for publication, including photos, audio and video for various web-based applications and social media platforms.
Events & Production (60%)
Coordinate the publicity and marketing of the schoolâs event calendar
Oversee design and development of schoolâs concert programs, and templates for student recital programs and posters
Design and coordinate content for the schoolâs digital screens, events listings, and campus-wide campaigns
Oversee development and distribution of print Event Calendars and other marketing material
Provide administrative support and coordination for vendors producing live streams of USC Thornton events
Produce various event posters, e-flyers, social media imagery
Produce special event projects, including event-specific merchandise and visual displays
Produce video content and multimedia for event promotion as needed
Oversee schoolâs general design projects for merchandise, posters, ads, and related promotions
Coordinate and oversee design work of student staff
