This position is open to scholars with research and teaching interests in any area within the field of marketing related to the department's orientation. Rank is at the tenured full professor level with an endowed professorship. The successful candidate will be an exceptional and internationally-renowned scholar, with a demonstrated record of excellence in research, teaching, and service, along with clear indications of continued research success. We are especially interested in individuals who value collegiality and whose research would complement the interests of our existing faculty.
The historic positioning of the Department of Marketing at Notre Dame has been in the marketing and society area with a focus on public policy issues, marketing ethics, international business ethics, and consumer culture theory. The department has established a new orientation around empirical marketing strategy as well. Our recent hires have focused on a variety of issues related to channels of distribution, marketing-finance interface, media platforms, CMO performance implications, product recalls, and corporate social responsibility. These two broad areas will serve as cornerstones of the departmental positioning in the near term, with digital marketing (in its behavioral and analytic aspects) becoming an increasingly important component of the mix.
This appointment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check. Applicants will be asked to identify all felony convictions and/or pending felony charges.
