The IU Center of Excellence for Women & Technology Part-time Marketing and Communications Coordinator reports to the Senior Associate Director to strategically develop and coordinate the Center's marketing and communication activities for new member onboarding and ongoing retention and engagement of affiliates. Our goal is to segment customer journeys using resources available to us via Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Promotes the Center to recruit new affiliates. Orchestrates the development and implementation of all Center marketing campaigns for encouraging affiliate engagement, including content for the Center website, emails, e-newsletters, social media, print materials, and more. Develops and implements marketing campaigns for Center events such as the annual Summit, IU Day, and Giving Tuesday. Monitors, measures, and improves the effectiveness of communication initiatives.
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.
Experience creating and implementing marketing/advertising campaigns. Understands and can initiate segmented marketing campaigns. Organizational and planning/project management skills. Strong attention to detail. Time management reliability. Strong written communication and proofreading skills. Ability to work with little supervision. Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media. Ability to be an effective team collaborator.
Working Conditions / Demands
Work is generally performed in a typical interior office work environment. While performing the responsibilities of this position, the individual is required to have ambulatory skills sufficient to visit various parts of campus. Requires the ability to reach with hands and arms, climb stairs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Requires sitting and standing for extended periods of time, operating a computer keyboard, telephone, and other equipment for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift, carry and transport marketing materials when traveling. Requires a great deal of mental concentration.
20 - 29 hours per week.
