Job DescriptionWe re looking for an experienced marketing manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our in-house marketing agency. This role is responsible for overseeing a core team of marketers executing projects and manages project intake, tracking, and process. In addition, this position contributes to creative strategy and direction of work in collaboration with team members and with the team s Senior Director to deliver exceptional work that will strengthen Greystar s reputation and brand. Given Greystar s growing brand, this position will play an important role in fostering relationships with leaders inside the organization to identify opportunities for the team to support initiatives and strategize to ensure maximum impact of what the team executes, regardless of project size.
Exceptional project management skills and a demonstrated ability to manage a team that can handle requests from multiple stakeholders to meet a range of deadlines on projects of different size/scope
Comfortable with or willingness to learn different software platforms designed to manage projects, track requests, and build/collect robust data on team s output
Working directly with stakeholders to understand what they need, why they need it, and when; willing to ask questions, strategize in the moment, and provide advice or guidance
Ensure fidelity to brand standards and guidelines across all work
A demonstrated knack for having a strong marketing mindset through past work and perspectives of the field today
A thoughtful manager and a willing collaborator who is willing to work on projects and get your hands in the mix, with technical expertise in graphic design, photography, and/or videography a huge plus
Oversee selection of agencies, freelancers, and other vendors, and ability to partner with other firms (e. g. printers, event companies) to ensure end-to-end project success
Identifying best practices and processes, with a willingness to try new approaches to continue building capabilities and effectiveness of the team
Managing budgets and timelines for the team and comfort communicating similar needs to clients
Four year degree in marketing, advertising, or business and/or equivalent experience is preferred.
5+ years of relevant experience
Professional certifications (e.g. PMP) encouraged but not required
Background in producing content and leading marketing or media teams, preferably in commercial real estate or financial services
Strong leadership skills and proven success in building high-energy teams, creating and articulating clear strategy and direction, and fostering collaboration and synergy
Experience communicating complex financial topics to sophisticated audience in creative formats
Experience creating content, marketing, video and/or podcast production with strong writing and editing skills
Expertise in SEO strategy and implementation
Understanding of digital measurement of brand marketing
Demonstrated creative sensibilities with an attention to design and detail
A self-starter who is team-oriented, super-organized, and has a good sense of humor
