Marketing Analyst
Basin Electric Power Cooperative
This position models, analyzes, quantifies, and reports the technical, environmental, and economic conditions of Basin Electric Power Cooperative’s (BEPC) various commodities, short and midterm positions, electric load and wind generation forecasts, and general commodity market intelligence. The incumbent provides support analysis and interacts with groups on various projects that require market transaction data, support for variable cost analysis, and support for short and mid-term sold/purchased power expenses. The incumbent is required to use initiative and sound decision-making to develop forecasts and generation economics. This position is identified as a Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) related position, which may allow physical and/or logical access to Bulk Electric System (BES) cyber related assets or systems.

To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent must have a general knowledge of statistical analysis and business practices at a level acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in Mathematics, Economics, Business, Information Technology, Statistics, or an Engineering Accreditation Commission/Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (EAC/ABET) accredited Engineering program, and two years of related business experience. The incumbent must be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; and personal computers is required. The incumbent must be able to perform in a team environment.
