The Manager of Market Intelligence will work across all Fox Factory Powered Vehicle Groups business unit’s management, marketing and engineering teams to support business intelligence initiatives. Responsible for delivering foundational economic, market, legislative and competitive intelligence to Fox Factory Powered Vehicle Group management, identifying relevant macro trends, competitive dynamics, market share positions & customer behaviors.
Responsibilitiesinclude but not limited to:
Market Share & Size
Collect and report market share information for respective markets served from all available sources available.
Establishes market sizes, trends, and projections; and draws their implications for the business
Conduct competitive market share analysis with correlating impact to business units and go-to-market initiatives
Market Research projects
Conduct all research projects for PVG Marketing Leadership (e.g. user segmentation research, voice-of-customer research, purchase barrier analysis, corporate reputation studies, etc)
Lead primary and secondary research with consultants, market research firms, and industry participants to extract critical market data used to provide fact-based insight to global business stakeholders.
Market Intelligence / Trends
Analyzes market data and customer information to identify patterns, trends and translates those into actionable insights
Proactively consults with US and global leaders to deliver customized market expertise and solutions
Presents perspectives on the evolving market to various internal departments
Track key fundamentals in downstream supplier markets and upstream automotive / power sport / etc. markets to understand both direct and indirect impact on business strategy.
Market Data Library Owner
Manage database and repository for market data, including commodity prices, supply and demand fundamentals, producer cost models, and all other relevant pieces of information.
Catalog and distribute all market research projects commissioned by Fox Factory or purchased from 3rd party sources.
Will lead the development of automotive data strategy in collaboration with internal and external resources.
Support Executive Leadership Team on business strategy development
Plays an active role in supporting the company’s strategic planning processes.
Supports executive leadership on research and market intelligence gathering related to M&A activities.
4+ years equivalent work experience–
Bachelor’s degree; master’s preferred but not required; relevant fields (economics, business, marketing / marketing research, statistics, mathematics, psychology, sociology)
Demonstrated ability to drive analytical work and judgement skills to convey relevant content in a timely manner
Demonstrated ability to triangulate large amounts of structured and unstructured data
Demonstrated ability in both attitudinal and behavioral components of consumer behavior
Ability to communicate implications of data well – visually, written and oral. Strong, energetic presentation skills. Meeting facilitation skills a plus
Strong experience in questionnaire development – thinking creatively, for valid and engaging respondent experiences
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across multiple cross functional areas
Ability to manage time, projects, and conflict independently
Thought leadership within environment of industry experts
Ability to establish and sustain strong business relationships and effectively prioritize business needs
