The Assistant Director for Engagement Marketing will lead marketing and communications initiatives by the Notre Dame Alumni Association aimed at engaging alumni, parents, and friends in the areas of Reunion, lifelong learning, athletics camaraderie, spirituality, and service. The assistant director is responsible for creating marketing strategies to accomplish goals in each area, while also directing a creative team to execute to those goals through video, email, direct mail, digital strategies, periodicals and publications, installations, signage, giveaways, etc. The assistant director will direct the social media strategy and operations for the association. Depending on qualifications, the assistant director will also provide light video editing. Under this umbrella of responsibilities, the Assistant Director manages the marketing planning for several Alumni Association events and initiatives including Reunion, Football Fridays at the Eck, FaithND, Family Volunteer Camp, the Shamrock Series, bowl games, etc. Please note that a Preferred Candidate has been identified for this position. Duties & Responsibilities: Manage the marketing of Reunion with the NDAA Director of Special Events. - Reunion is the NDAA's annual summer engagement event that drives roughly 3500-4000 alumni back to campus to celebrate with their former classmates. Sets strategy with Alumni Association program managers and directors in each of the following program lines to market our programs and resources to alumni, parents and friends: - Leads creative team to manage deadlines and create quality marketing tactics for each client. - Assists in managing web content changes in these client areas in coordination with NDAA student interns and the digital specialist. - Academics/Continuing Education: includes digital learning platform, online educational programming, and other education initiatives. - Athletics: includes alumni and friend events at Shamrock Series and bowl games. - Service: includes marketing service events in our alumni communities, at away athletic events and service events on campus. - Spirituality: includes marketing FaithND and other faith-based initiatives. Manage the marketing of Football Fridays with the NDAA Director of Special Events. - Inviting alumni, parents, and friends to the Visitors Center every Friday before a home game weekend. Supervises the management of the Association's social media channels. - Oversees maintenance and creative direction of myNotreDame, the Association's main website, and other digital properties as needed. Provides light video production and editing.
Minimum Qualifications: *Bachelors Degree (4 years) *5-6 years professional experience *Three to five years of experience in marketing and project management *Proven track record of developing and implementing integrated marketing communications campaigns, especially direct mail, collateral development and digital marketing *Solid understanding of branding and marketing strategy *Superb communication, organizational and project management skills with proven ability to initiate and follow through on projects *Creative thinker with the ability to analyze, condense and synthesize information and provide accurate analysis and summaries
