The Digital Marketing Manager is an integral player in the Marketing, Communications and Data Analytics team that drives marketing strategy, signature event execution and engagement tactics. This role will create meaningful online experiences for leads, prospects, donors, volunteers and partners driving increased year over year revenue. RMHC-CNI is seeking a Digital Marketing Manager who will plan, implement, and manage digital marketing initiatives that address each stage of donor life cycle management from lead generation to acquisition, retention and optimization as well as managing digital components of campaigns and events. This position is ideal for a hands-on, growth-oriented digital marketing player with experience in integrated marketing and delivering successful campaigns across multiple channels.
Essential Job Functions
Support Charity’s marketing objectives of lead generation, donor cultivation and retention through the tactical execution of email communications and digital marketing campaigns.
Execute end-to-end steps of all email campaigns, work with Marcom Director and Marketing Data Manager, internal clients from Development and/or Programs, manage and maintain email lists/segmentation, campaign monitoring and analysis.
Manage all social media channels – create communications calendar, create content specific to each channel that is compelling and increases audience engagement, determine frequency and visuals suitable to each channel and target audience. Monitor engagement and respond promptly to all comments.
Provide day-to-day oversight of website including SEO/SEM and optimizing user journeys to access volunteer, donation and family care resources. Work in coordination with the Marcom Director and staff on web content management, including regular informational updates, event calendar listings, website landing pages, and online forms.
Increase RMHC-CNI online visibility, manage and execute RMHC-CNI local digital advertising. Activities may include: Optimize our Google Adwords grant; propose digital advertising budget, create display and/or retargeting ads, and paid social that will deliver healthy pipeline of prospects, and move donors through lifecycle optimizing engagement, retention and revenue.
Set annual KPIs for website, digital, email marketing and social channels, monitor performance, provide regular analytics reports, identify trends and innovate to increase engagement and results.
Collaborate on marketing campaigns and event promotion and provided added bench strength to our desktop publishing needs providing graphic design and layout support as needed.
Steward the RMHC brand in all external and internal engagement, including brand standards set both locally and at the global RMHC level.
Education and Experience – An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered
B.A. or B.S. Degree in Marketing or equivalent field.
5+ years of experience in digital and/or email marketing, with emphasis on direct response, nonprofit experience is a plus.
Proven success in managing digital advertising including display, paid social, retargeting, with experience in Google AdWords.
Hands-on email development experience including HTML, CSS, Hubl and testing in Litmus a plus.
Systems experience with website CMS (Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, etc); e-mail marketing platform (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc); CRM system (Blackbaud/Raisers Edge), content scheduling (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc); Google Analytics, Facebook and Twitter Analytics.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite products, including Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities which may be representative, but not all-inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
Tech savvy with strong software skills, including advanced features of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Must be a highly organized self-starter with the ability to multitask and function effectively under pressure.
Comfortable with fast-paced working environment; highly resourceful and works gracefully under pressure with tight deadlines and multiple internal clients.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, volunteers, and constituents.
Very hands-on with the tactics; can-do approach and willing to be held accountable for business results.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Competency with a photo and video camera is a plus
Must be willing to travel within the Chicago metropolitan area.
Periodic evening and weekend work is required to assist with on-site production of events
