The Corporate Apparel Sales Representative is responsible to service and sell our full line-up of Stock & Custom Apparel to businesses and corporations both large and small. This position provides prompt, knowledgeable and courteous outside sales support to our customers, prospective customers and organizations concerning products, availability, services, sale promotions and deliveries. The Sales Representative is the initial, external sales contact for potential and new customers and the on-going contact with existing customers in promoting new products and providing customer service excellence. In addition, the Sales Representative generates new sales and sales leads, qualifies prospective customers and provides sales management with territorial analysis and forecasting. It is an extremely customer-focused, customer driven position requiring a positive individual who can project confidence in our products, people and processes.
Service and establish new and existing accounts, obtains orders by planning and organizing a daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales opportunities in your assigned territory.
Adjusts content and details of apparel sales presentations through a thorough knowledge our products, specifications that are tailored to an individual customer’s needs.
Submits clean and accurate apparel orders by referring to current price lists and up to date product literature.
Attend local, regional, and national trade shows as required.
Assist Regional Sales Manager(s) in Apparel Training programs as requested.
Ability to monitor competition by gathering, maintaining, and sharing current market information on the competition’s pricing, products, lead-times, and innovations.
Consult with Apparel Product Manager to recommend changes or variations in products, promotions, and services, by assessing and evaluating field results and competitive developments in the market.
Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing sound solutions; preparing reports and recommendations to management for approval.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending and participating in company educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional organizations we service.
Maintaining historical records by providing all information on the territory and individual customer sales.
Contributes to team. Strives to meet sales goals and accomplish related sales results, participate in team meetings and share best practices with others.
This position requires that you possess a valid driver’s license have full access to a reliable insured vehicle to work the assigned territory.
Education and Training:
Associate Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and related experience Preferred.
Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing or related field desirable.
Minimum five (5) years cold call sales experience required.
Proven track record of teamwork and working well with support resources to complete sales and to service customers.
Proficient with MS Office applications.
SAP experience desirable.
Capable of lifting to 50-60 lbs. of product materials.
Able to ascend/descend stairs carrying 50-60 lb. bags, cartons, etc.
Able to work in team locker rooms, gymnasiums or similar locations as well as possibly in private homes or public places.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license and car insurance and keep on record with the Human Resources Department.
Must provide own vehicle which is reliable and suitable to perform the required duties and tasks associated with the sales position.
