Identify, promote, and amplify key peer-reviewed content across our scientific publications to increase downloads, submissions, and subscriptions. Develop multichannel media strategies to magnify and translate our published research utilizing industry best practices and audience-specific approaches. Report regularly on strategies and results.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Translational Writing to Amplify Published Scientific Content
Write articles and news releases about books, journals, webcasts, and other key scientific content for publication in member newsletters, news capsules, eblasts, journals, blogs, webpages, social media, and other channels.
Develop copy and devise strategies for an effective user interface on publisher pages on organization websites.
Content Analysis and Reports
Monitor and analyze usage statistics and other data for all online products for curation of content to be featured across communication channels.
Report on usage statistics regularly to determine successes and gaps and to modify strategies.
BA/BS in communications, marketing, media studies, or a related field.
Publishing experience is preferred but not required.
Minimum 3 to 6 years of writing experience with excellent written/verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, excellent project management techniques, and advanced computer skills with social media and web expertise.
Able to work and thrive in a scientific publishing environment, managing multiple communications projects.
Eager to represent scientists and their research in a creative, knowledge-based manner suitable to the high-level audiences served by the organizations.
