Hershey Entertainment & Resorts is looking for a dynamic Marketing Specialist with entertainment industry experience to join our team. This exciting position focuses on marketing efforts for Hershey Entertainment Brands in an effort to build brand awareness and generate ticket sales. The Marketing Specialist manages the marketing efforts for concerts and shows for the Giant Center Hersheypark Stadium, and Hershey Theatre. The person in this position will also translate strategic direction set by both the Marketing and Operational leadership teams into concrete deliverables.
Develop and execute marketing and pricing programs. This includes execution of owned platforms and assets (email, website) as well as coordination of tactics with outside agencies and vendors.
Partner with the Hershey Entertainment & Resorts media team and media agencies to develop, execute, and evaluate media campaigns (TV, radio, print, digital, outdoor, etc)
Monitor advertising schedules, trade advertising, and third-party tie-ins to ensure all advertising runs as planned and all promotions are executed as anticipated.
Partner with Communications on creative strategic social media marketing campaigns that engage fans, build venue fan base, raise show awareness, and maximize ticket sales across various platforms.
Coordinate event promotions with various media outlets or retail partners, to fulfill and execute promotional campaigns that maximize show exposure.
Responsible for inventory of venue marquees and the placement of inventory on the marquees as well as proof designs of all print ads/flyers/posters for accuracy.
Establish and maintain working relationships with key Marketing contacts associated with ticket sellers (Ticketmaster, Groupon, etc) as well as travelling shows and concerts.
Coordinates marketing budgets in cooperation with various shows and concerts as needed.
Produce a settlement reconciliation for each event upon completion, outlining all marketing expenses and corresponding invoices.
Research, analyze, and remain current on national trends and demographic factors in the industry as well as local market changes to capitalize on market opportunities in the promotion of venue events
Maintain brand standards of logo and name, when used by outside parties in partnerships and sponsorships.
Represent Marketing Department day-of-show including coordination of on-site media, meet and greets, content coverage, etc.
Assist with the marketing of additional brands on an as needed basis.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Minimum of two (2) years marketing experience required.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Brand management or strategic marketing fields highly preferred.
Experience with Travel & Tourism/Hospitality brands highly preferred.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
Ability to manage multiple projects and multiple deadlines in an organized fashion
Must be organized, professional, and exceptional with follow-through.
Must have strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Ability to work well with others as part of a team.
This job regularly requires verbal communication of detailed information to others either by phone or in person.
