We are looking for a Global Marketing Manager to join the GCP Applied Technologies team. In this role you will profitably grow sales while optimizing cash and return on assets by developing, articulating and implementing strategy for the SBM business.
Work with SBM Leadership, Sales, customers and regional product managers to create a global product line strategy. Work jointly with regional product managers to implement tactics to optimize global product line P&L for growth, profit and cash generation. Develop new growth efforts to expand the product line, including into adjacent spaces, meeting & exceeding business unit goals.
Product Line Strategy & Leadership
Serve as the global product line expert understanding market drivers that influence the core business
Create and articulate a global vision and strategic plan for the Liquid-applied Waterproofing product line
Set the global product line portfolio and positioning
Interface with Sales and Regional Product Management to implement product line strategy
Develop and report on global product line metrics
Identify market trends and drive activities to react to these trends
Lead multi-function assessment teams to monitor emerging market/technology/regulatory trends and competitive activity
Plan product development and commercialization activities to ensure sufficient resources to execute strategic and operating plans
Develop action plans to capture value for key global market segments
Centralize, analyze and develop reaction plans with Regional Product Management for competitive market activities
Lead Growth Projects
Manage growth projects through the GCP’s stage-gate process: conduct market needs and technology road mapping to clearly articulate future growth options
Characterize specific market/customer needs and create the business case for the development of differentiated new products and or applications with competitive advantage to drive profitable growth
Validate new products/applications and provide sales support packages to replicate success in the market
Manage the transition of newly developed products to Regional Product Management and Sales
Qualify and quantify the value proposition of opportunities with end-users, co-suppliers or other specification influencers to “pull through” new market demand for the SBM portfolio
Drive SBM growth into profitable new and adjacent spaces
Asset Management Support
Optimize margins on product line working with Operations, Supply Chain, R&D and other functions
Define conversion cost objectives in collaboration with Operations and participate in continuous improvement plan development
Outline, with Engineering, future capital needs and payback for continued product line growth.

Possess an executive presence
10+ years experience, of which significant part in a marketing/commercial role
Proven talent for leading a multi-cultural team in a matrix organization
Expertise with wide range of marketing practices and tools including project management and commercialization
Specific experience with polyurethane, polyurea, PMMA or other waterproofing coating technology preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Technical Field
Post-graduate degree preferred
