The Expedient Marketing Content Strategist will take ownership in bringing our blog and content resources to the next level. You’ll be in charge of owning content production for the blog, our website resources, and our social channels (LinkedIn & Twitter), and will be tasked with managing a content calendar, building case studies and other content that highlight our customers, creating website copy and crafting eye-catching – and effective -- email nurture campaigns for our sales teams.
This work includes working with internal subject matter experts on identifying topics that are relevant to our customer base and potential customer base. This position will require independent research and journalism skills, in addition to a strong B2B marketing acumen.
This person will project manage custom content initiatives that align to overall business goals. The Marketing Content Strategist will also track and monitor success of content campaigns and oversee distribution of content across channels. The position will also influence the brand’s tone and voice across all our content and work with sales and other marketing teammates on planning inbound marketing initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in Journalism or Marketing Communications or equivalent experience
At a minimum, 4+ years’ experience in a full-time professional role in marketing, technical writing and/or copywriting
A demonstrated knowledge of grammar and sentence structure; adherence to the AP Stylebook and writing samples strongly preferred
Strong understanding of and interest in information technology is highly preferred
Proven track record of leading projects from concept to completion, applying best practices with the ability to prioritize and creatively problem-solve
Ability to think strategically and stay on top of execution
Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with a high degree of collaboration and influence
Must be a self-starter with a ‘roll-up your sleeves and get the work done’ attitude, able to manage time and projects productively to get results
Manage the editorial calendar for content creation and publication across the website, blog, and social media channels.
Work with internal subject matter experts and external agencies to create new specialized content pieces
Use analytics platforms (Google Analytics, LinkedIn, Tableau, and more) to monitor content performance, track audience demographics, increase usability, and better the customer experience.
Work with SEO, Social, and Analytics to maximize blog efficacy and reach
Generate and distribute monthly reporting to executive team
Communicate overall editorial calendar and content strategy to broader team
