The office of marketing is responsible for all aspects of marketing and communications for Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. The office of marketing implements marketing strategies and programs designed to further advance the reputation of the Cummings School and Cummings Veterinary Medical Center. Key audiences served by marketing programs include: prospective and current students, alumni, referring veterinarians, faculty and staff, donors, alternative funding sources, research community, government officials, and current/future hospital clientele.
The Marketing Communications Coordinator supports the strategic objectives and marketing initiatives of Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine by maintaining and enhancing the School's marketing, social media, digital campaigns. The marketing communications coordinator is inquisitive and analytical and must be able to manage projects in collaboration with director of marketing and select faculty/staff members. The coordinator reports to the director of marketing & academic communications. Major areas of responsibility include content management, digital marketing, and social media management.
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related field with minimum 2 years' experience in marketing or public relations, including web and social media development. Self-motivated with ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Excellent written communication skills for marketing including grammar, proofreading. Experienced with project management and project leadership. Understanding of data, both quantitative and qualitative. Experience with web content management systems, Mail Chimp and Adobe Creative Suite. Valid US Driver's License. Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. with or without accommodation.
Experience/interest/talent for taking photos to support digital storytelling, social media and outbound communications.
