The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking to hire a Marketing Manager with the demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and evaluate marketing, brand strategies and programs. The Marketing Manager will provide assistance for marketing related actions and report directly to the Marketing Director. The selected candidate will be responsible for the deployment of campaign related marketing activities, both internal and external. These marketing efforts will be directly related to donors as well as UNC Chapel Hill Schools and Units as part of the development communications team.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Qualified applicants must have a strong marketing and communications background paired with excellent written and verbal communication skills. The applicant should be able to synthesize data and information, analyze trends, identify opportunities, draw sound conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations to guide marketing strategy, marketing communications and deliverables, as well as organizational decision-making. A demonstrated knowledge of content creation, production and marketing calendars is critical. A high level of proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel is required.
A Bachelor's degree is preferred, plus 5-7 years of related experience in non-profit or higher ed. The ability to craft messaging and content strongly preferred.
