Job DescriptionGeneral/Position Summary
Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc. is looking to hire a product manager to join the US Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Marketing team in Boston, MA. This position will be supporting our latest innovation in CF modulator treatment, ALYFTREK. The ALYFTREK Marketing Product Manager will manage development or updates to promotional tactics and assist in the management of special projects supporting ALYFTREK.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop or update marketing materials aligned with ALYFTREK strategy and business objectives
- Partner with healthcare provider (HCP) marketing lead on the development of key HCP resources to pull through real-world experience data (e.g., digital media, tools for sales team)
- Support development of content for promotional speaker programs to differentiate ALYFTREK and share real-world experiences with HCPs
- Develop ALYFTREK-branded marketing assets to be used at key CF conferences
- Partner with patient marketing lead on the development of patient digital media assets (e.g., banner ads, social media) and execution of media plan
- Lead development of key aspects of patient testimonial stories to share with the CF community
- Support translation of marketing materials into languages other than English (e.g., Spanish)
- Project management of special projects across ALYFTREK team which may include market events, coordinating ad-hoc business reviews, etc.
- Compliantly gain input on current or planned marketing materials from healthcare providers and patients/caregivers via various means (e.g., stakeholder panels)
- Collaborate with Vertex Communications Review Committee (CRC) to gain approval of materials for external use with customers
- Develop strong partnerships with marketing teams, GPS, Sales, Market Access, and other cross functional partners to support business goals
- Manage agency partners to ensure timely deliverables within budget
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or scientific degree.
Required Experience
- Typically requires 4-5+ years of pharmaceutical commercial, business, or the combination of education and experience.
Required Knowledge / Skills
- Strong project management skills and tactical execution experience.
- Ability to professionally communicate, both verbal and written, with the team and others.
- Understanding of promotional approval process and regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical marketing.
- Strong team player with an ability to collaborate cross functionally and help partners accomplish shared objectives.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and prioritize workload.
- Understanding insights and how to apply to tactical execution.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications, including PPT, Excel and Word.
Pay Range:
$120,000 - $180,000
Disclosure Statement:
The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
