Description
We are working on behalf of an Am Law 10 firm to recruit a Senior Marketing Manager, Client Engagement to serve as the go-to marketing resource for the Chicago office. The Senior Manager will work directly with office and regional leaders to develop and execute client development strategies and manage a range of targeted marketing activities that align with client needs and support the business objectives of the office/region.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Regional Marketing & Business Development: Develop and implement marketing strategies, events, and initiatives to support regional growth.
- Profile-Raising & Thought Leadership: Manage rankings, awards, PR opportunities, and external communications to enhance the firm’s visibility in the local market.
- Client & Lawyer Engagement: Support lawyer onboarding, business development training, and professional organization involvement to strengthen relationships and brand presence.
- Team Leadership & Management: Oversee hiring, training, and development of business professionals, delegating tasks effectively and collaborating across departments on cross-functional projects.
Credentials and Expertise:
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA or JD is a strong plus.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of business development, marketing, or related experience, including at least four years of direct personnel management.
- Deep understanding of the local market for legal services and the competitive landscape.
- Strong writing, proofreading, presentation, and critical thinking abilities, with sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
