Description
JOB DESCRIPTIONHearst Television has an opening for a Product Marketing Manager. The Product Marketing Manager is a highly visible and strategically critical role responsible for owning the voice, positioning, and go-to-market story of Hearst Television's digital advertising products and services. This individual will lead how we articulate, package, and promote our products internally and externally-supporting hundreds of local sellers and reinforcing Hearst Television's authority in the digital ad ecosystem.
This role is equal parts product marketer, content strategist, and sales enabler. You will be responsible for defining product messaging frameworks, developing sales and training materials, managing product rollouts, and producing compelling advertiser-facing narratives like case studies and white papers. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Design, Ad Ops, and Analytics, and even pull insights from clients, to ensure our product story is not just clear, but compelling and competitive.
The ideal candidate is a strong writer, creative thinker, and cross-functional collaborator who can turn technical product information into powerful tools for revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own Hearst's digital product story, including positioning, messaging, and how each solution is sold individually and as part of a multi-platform strategy inclusive of streaming and linear (broadcast) television.
- Develop a consistent and scalable framework for product launches, including internal education, external messaging, and collateral packaging.
- Lead content development for sales enablement materials including decks, one-sheets, playbooks, and product overview documents. Build and maintain a library of thought-leadership content-case studies, white papers, industry POVs, advertiser-facing narratives, and competitive insights. Develop polished, on-brand materials (including sizzle reels and packaging).
- Partner with the Digital Solutions team to support station training on both existing and newly launched products. Develop library of training videos for onboarding and educating Account Executives.
- Gather insights from sales teams, internal stakeholders, and advertisers to identify messaging gaps and shape go-to-market improvements.
- Collaborate with Product and Analytics teams to turn performance and usage trends into market-ready insights.
- Maintain and evolve HearstAnyscreen.com and internal SharePoint libraries as resources for product positioning and field content.
- Own and manage the product marketing/content calendar.
- Support the sales organization in response to strategic RFPs.
Qualifications
- 6-8+ years of experience in product marketing, content marketing, or strategic B2B marketing (preferably in advertising, media, or SaaS).
- Excellent storytelling and copywriting skills, with the ability to communicate technical product details in clear, persuasive ways. Demonstrated success building product messaging frameworks and field-facing content that drives sales.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Analytics, Ops, and Design.
- Strong grasp of digital advertising platforms and terminology (OTT, Display, Native, Social, Programmatic, etc.).
- Familiarity with performance data, advertiser KPIs, and marketing metrics.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint required; experience with SharePoint, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
