Job Description:
Calling all Product Managers, do you have proven experience developing and managing product plans for brands? Forecasting against SKU's based on market analysis and product potential? Managing and building the portfolio of the great Brands? Well you may be the ideal fit for a Brand Manager role here at Spin Master, please see a description of the position below.
What will you work on?
The Brand Manager will be part of the GAS Marketing Team based in our Munich office, working on marketing execution and promotional activities of Spin Master's brand portfolio. This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role that will challenge you to manage a diverse team of cross-functional peers.
How will you create impact?
The Brand Manager is responsible for the following tasks in an autonomous way:
- Develop and manage the marketing plan for the assigned brands, including brand and product marketing strategy, product positioning, creative strategy briefs, market research and consumer insights, advertising, in-store POP, public relations, licensing relations, e-comm, and targeted consumer/trade outreach and promotions.
- Forecasting: Recommend the annual forecasts for each SKU, based on a deep analysis of the market and product potential, closely work with Supply/Demand Planners and Sales Team to review and implement monthly changes as part of Forecasting Reviews.
- Manage the financial aspects of a portfolio of the brand, including costing and pricing, P&L, budgeting, SKU rationalization and profitability analysis.
- Participate in sales presentations for large retailers and provide sales tools supporting successful sell in of the brands.
- Manage close collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Supply/Demand and Finance teams.
What are your skills and experience?
- We are looking for a candidate with a strong marketing acumen, experience of development and execution of strong marketing plans, with a proven track record of brand equity growth and strong sales results.
- You have strong project management skills and know how to manage multiple projects at hand without losing details of each project out of sight. You have experience of realization of complex marketing projects under pressure, on time and within budget.
- You combine creative mind with strong analytical skills; you love working with Excel, and know that numbers are as important in effective marketing as a creative plan.
- You are proactive and a result-driven person, who loves to learn and exceed expectations. You simply get things done.
- You a real team player and are willing to succeed together in a friendly and fun collaborative environment. You are open to learn from your colleagues and share the knowledge with your team members to ensure we grow together.
- You are a real relationship builder and ideally have experience working in a complex matrix set-up, working successfully with multiple stakeholders across cross-functional teams and geographies, and customers across multiple markets.
- Masters Degree in Marketing /Communications/ Business
- Minimum of 2-3 years relevant marketing experience ideally in the Toy Industry, other kid-related industries (for example toy retail or kid licensing - marketing/licensing/entertainment business) or FMCG
- Working knowledge of a variety of marketing tactics from media, in-store and consumer promotions
- Direct experience with the full product development cycle, with a track record of thriving in a growth oriented and changing environment.
- Proficient in using MS Office programs including Power BI, experienced with content management systems
- Native in German and fluent in English
