Product Manager Team Lead - Fresh Produce (f/m/d)

• Starting date: As soon as possible
• Yearly Salary: €90,000 - €100,000 (fixed range, annual gross)
• Stock Options: Up to €80,000
• Work model: Full-time, Hybrid (Munich, Germany)
• Travel: Required, Between 0-2 days per month

Your role

As Product Manager Team Lead, you drive the discovery and definition of product strategy for our fresh produce products. This involves both individual contribution and leading a team of product managers responsible for translating user needs into clear product requirements and roadmaps, ensuring accountability for development outcomes. You lead product definition and delivery for our AI-powered imaging line in fresh produce, collaborating closely with the PM team, and leads in business, engineering, and operations. Success requires strong customer empathy, clear communication, and influential leadership.

Your day to day

On a typical day you will:

• Lead and mentor PMs.
• Engage customers on product opportunities and pain points.
• Plan resources and hiring strategy.
• Improve PM tools and processes.
• Define, refine, and review features and requirements against business needs.
• Synchronize delivery schedules with customer expectations, business, and development teams.
• Effectively communicate product status and roadmap to stakeholders.
• Secure stakeholder alignment on new initiatives for maximum business impact.

Product Discovery & Definition

• Maximizing product value through qualitative & quantitative exploration; capability to interview customers fluently in English and Spanish.
• Develop concise product requirements and documentation, leveraging expertise in industrial automation & machine vision.
• Effectively engage stakeholders, translating feedback into development direction.
• Creating inspiring, aligned product roadmaps
• Knowhow in best practices for product management

Leadership

• Align engineering team priorities with company goals.
• Resolve conflicts between user needs and technical feasibility.
• Facilitate quick, informed decision-making through clear communication, feedback digestion, and synthesis.
• Secure stakeholder buy-in for tactical product execution plans.
• Mentor a diverse, experienced team of product managers, focusing on growth in areas like hardware and industrial automation.
• You have experience taking full accountability for product outcomes

Language Expertise

• In addition to English fluency, you are also fluent in Spanish.

Leadership Expertise

• You have prior experience people-managing product managers and/or engineers
• You have experience driving strategy for industrial automation products

Technological Expertise

• You have experience delivering industrial automation in the food sector as a product manager, specifically in fresh produce
• You have experience with grading machinery, specifically machinery that uses vision sensors
• You have experience maturing such machinery to reach critical certification and compliance requirements across multiple geographies such as EU, US, Asia, and/or LATAM
• You have experience building technology that relies on sophisticated software and hardware infrastructure

Language Expertise

• You are fluent in Italian and/or Portuguese or German
