Global Product Manager
Your role and Responsibilities
As Product Manager you will be part of an Agile Team with the responsibility to develop products & solutions in the fields of Machine Safety and Command & Signaling. You will ensure that ABB has a full understanding of market requirements in the specific areas and is able to transform these requirements into product/system specifications and development activities. The related product portfolio is a part of the Industry & Control Unit within the Smart Power Division, leveraging Safety, Limit Switches and Pilot Device assortments.

This is global position reporting to: Chapter Lead Product Management Safety, Command & Signaling
Your responsibilities:
- Follow and understand market and customer requirements and their impact on the product/solutions as well as continuous monitoring of the existing portfolio.
- Identify business opportunities, managing the technical specification of products/solution assigned and developing business cases for product developments.
- Carry the customer's voice in the organization and support operational functions with product management activities.
- Keep Agile Units, sales and channels informed on topics related to the portfolio, such as new product/system availability, market movements, competition, and information related to the operation.
- Follow up business performance in a regular manner for assigned products or services and drive improvement actions.
- Support Marketing & Communication team with appropriated content and documentation for promotional and marketing communication activities.
- Maintain and follow annual cycle of activities to govern product management for assigned products/solutions.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
- Experience in product management or sales role (working in electrification business) and having experience about relevant products or industries, holding a technical background and a good business acumen.
- Direct experience in Machine Safety is a plus.
- Ambitious and self-motivated mindset, with strong customer focus combined with market and competitor awareness.
- Solid team player with an independent and solution-oriented working style.
- Resilient in an agile and changing environment, and structured and able to grasp the bigger picture.
- Availability for business trips a handful of times annually.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken alike), previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum oriented workforce is a plus.
