Description
Precision Politics is an award-winning Democratic political strategy, direct mail, and digital advertising firm seeking a freelance copywriter. We've won over 400 elections with an 87% win rate and earned 24 National POLLIE Awards for excellence in political direct mail.
You'll write persuasive campaign mailers, digital ads, and website copy for Democratic candidates at all levels. You'll also write blog posts and landing pages for our firm. This is hands-on creative work, not templated content.
We're a small firm run by two semi-retired national political strategists. You'll work directly with us.
What You'll Create:
- Direct mail postcards and self-mailers
- Digital display ads and animated HTML5 ads
- Campaign website copy and landing pages
- Blog posts for PrecisionPolitics.com
About the Role:
- Remote, flexible hours
- Project-based compensation (or hourly)
- Steady volume through November 2026

Requirements
Required:
- 2+ years of experience writing political direct mail, campaign advertising, or political website content
- Portfolio of political or advocacy creative work
- Understanding of persuasion copywriting (not just content writing)
- Commitment to Democratic and progressive candidates
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines:
Preferred:
- Experience at a political direct mail and/or digital advertising firm
- Familiarity with political campaign advertising
