As climate and natural catastrophe risks increase in frequency and severity, insurers require high-quality data, modern analytics, and reliable digital solutions to stay competitive. To support this mission, we are looking for a Junior Product Manager - Insurance to help strengthen our insurance-focused product development and shape the future of our risk and climate data solutions.

Your Role
As Junior Product Manager - Insurance, you will
- Support product discovery by researching insurance-relevant risk datasets (e.g., natcat hazards, vulnerability, claims) and analysing market and regulatory trends.
- Translate insurance workflows and operational needs into clear product requirements, concepts, and user stories.
- Collaborate with modelling, analytics, UI/UX and engineering teams to develop and implement new features and datasets for the Location Risk Intelligence platform.
- Validate prototypes and new capabilities through user testing, client feedback, and internal quality checks.
- Adapt and prepare geospatial and risk data for key insurance use cases such as underwriting, exposure analysis, and accumulation control.
- Support the integration of new datasets, APIs, and geospatial analytics into the SaaS platform.
- Contribute to go to market preparation by creating documentation, training materials, and product-related content for Sales and Marketing.
- Track product performance, user behaviour, and feedback to recommend enhancements that improve value, usability, and product market fit.
- Help drive continuous improvement to support financial and adoption targets across the insurance client segment.
Your Profile
- 2+ years of professional experience in insurance, product management, underwriting support, natcat analytics, climate/physical risk, or related fields.
- Academic degree in insurance management, business administration, geosciences, environmental sciences, geography, data science, or a comparable discipline.
- Basic understanding of:
- insurance workflows (underwriting, portfolio management, reinsurance, exposure management)
- natural catastrophe perils (e.g., flood, windstorm, earthquake)
- risk modelling and accumulation concepts
- Familiarity with geospatial data, GIS tools, or spatial analytics (QGIS, geodata APIs, etc.) is a strong plus.
- Experience working with digital products, data products, or SaaS environments.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate complex information into actionable product insights.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
- Curiosity, drive to learn, and a passion for building digital products with real-world impact.
Nice-to-have
- Hands-on exposure to climate risk frameworks, cat modelling, or actuarial/insurance data.
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python or similar) or experience working with data engineering teams.
