Description
About TEGNATEGNA Inc. (NYSE: TGNA) helps people thrive in their local communities by providing the trusted local news and services that matter most. With 64 television stations in 51 U.S. markets, TEGNA reaches more than 100 million people monthly across the web, mobile apps, streaming, and linear television. Together, we are building a sustainable future for local news.
The Locked On Podcast Network was founded in 2016 (acquired by TEGNA in 2021). Since our inception, we have proudly been innovators and digital media pioneers. We were one of the first podcast networks to focus exclusively on short-form, daily podcasts that are now the industry standard. We created the local team podcast model, which has now become a leading industry segment. And we have launched some of the most popular sports podcasts in the business. We are now the #1 sports podcast network in the country and have moved aggressively into creating video content for YouTube, OTT, and other platforms to reach new audiences and expand our programming footprint. We are growing rapidly on social media as well. Today, Locked On produces 250+ daily podcast shows for audio and video, providing in-depth coverage of every NBA, NFL, MLB, and NHL team, plus most major college teams. We also publish industry-leading, league-wide daily podcasts for fantasy sports, sports betting, league drafts, and more. Currently, our audio and video podcasts generate over 45 million listens and views each month.
Locked On is seeking a Marketing Specialist to lead and oversee many of our marketing programs, with a focus on audience acquisition, brand awareness, and social media. We are looking for a detail-oriented contributor and program leader with extensive experience in digital media marketing, paid acquisition, and social media, as well as graphic design and video production. This is both a creative and analytical role and requires someone equally comfortable at creating ads, social media posts, and videos, as well as analyzing and using data.
Responsibilities:
• Developing and executing social media strategies and best practices for our social team and hosts, tracking platform algorithm changes, performing social media audits, tracking performance across the network, providing coaching to our hosts and contractors, developing materials and tutorials for our hosts and contractors, and holding one-on-one calls with hosts.
• Hiring and managing social media contractors, including scheduling hours, setting goals and expectations, auditing performance, and providing coaching.
• Building, monitoring, and pulling reports and analytics for our ad sales team, sponsors, partners, and internal marketing and operational needs.
• Implementing large-scale website changes for new campaigns, promos, and landing pages, communicating with developers, and playing a role in our new website buildout with TEGNA IT.
• Overseeing our social media activation product with our sales team, including updating inventory, monitoring campaigns, and issuing post-campaign reports.
• Leading our social media touchpoints with hosts through HABIT training, watercoolers (weekly channel meetings), quarterly AMAs, town halls, workshops, etc.
• Gathering feedback from Channel Managers regarding Choppity, Canva, social media efforts, marketing campaigns, etc. Help implement improvements based on the feedback.
• Creating, monitoring, tracking TEGNA Ad Campaigns (Display/Pre-Roll/Video)
• Managing Hootsuite/Talkwalker and Spotlight.ai vendor partnerships
• Running and managing paid digital ad campaigns
