European Last‑Mile Product ManagerDüsseldorf, Germany

We are seeking an experienced European Last‑Mile Product Manager to lead and optimize our last-mile delivery network across Europe. This role combines strategic product planning, supplier development, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration to drive service quality, cost efficiency, and scalable growth in the European market.
Key Responsibilities
1. Last‑Mile Resource Development & Management
- Lead the development and performance management of European last-mile delivery partners.
- Ensure reliable capacity planning for daily operations and peak seasons.
- Establish a supplier evaluation framework measuring timeliness, cost, quality, and compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement in supplier service standards.
2. Product Planning & Cost Optimization
- Research European last-mile market trends and customer demand.
- Develop product roadmaps and define competitive last-mile offerings.
- Build and maintain cost models to dynamically optimize pricing and cost structures.
- Translate market and operational insights into actionable product improvements.
3. Operations Monitoring & Customer Response
- Monitor key operational KPIs including transit time, damage rates, and on-time delivery.
- Create dashboards and reporting frameworks for real-time visibility.
- Establish rapid exception handling and escalation processes.
- Collect and analyze customer feedback to inform product enhancements and supplier improvements.
4. Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Data Integration
- Work with sales and account teams to design customer-specific last-mile solutions.
- Provide product training and support in tenders, proposals, and client presentations.
- Coordinate with technical teams to implement API integrations and enable digital connectivity of last-mile systems.
- Promote data-driven decision-making across operational and cross-border teams.
Requirements
Experience
- 5+ years in European cross-border logistics operations, focusing on last-mile delivery.
- Experience leading supplier negotiations and managing contracts with annual value ≥ EUR 5 million.
- Familiarity with EU VAT regulations, EORI customs clearance processes, and local delivery regulations (e.g., Germany Postal Act).
Core Skills
- Expertise in logistics cost modeling and cost analysis.
- Strong commercial negotiation skills with a proven record of high-value contracts.
- Solid understanding of EU logistics regulations (VAT, EORI, GDPR) and local delivery compliance.
Language Skills
- Business-level fluency in English (TOEFL ≥100 or equivalent).
- Mandarin Chinese fluency is required.
- German (B2) or French (B1) is a plus.
Competencies
- End-to-end supply chain perspective with strong execution capability.
- Ability to coordinate European teams and resources for peak-season capacity planning.
- High stress tolerance and adaptability to seasonal fluctuations in cross-border logistics.
- Strong contingency planning and risk management skills.
