The Digital Marketing Strategist plans, executes, and optimizes digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels while also owning marketing operations, digital services, system integrations, and analytics. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on technical execution — connecting marketing tools and data sources, administering core marketing platforms, automating workflows, and delivering actionable insights through dashboards and reporting.
This role is the primary owner of key digital services that drive member engagement and self-service adoption, including SMS and email opt-ins, digital banking usage and enrollment, SavvyMoney content and rate updates, the digital virtual assistant, and related vendor platforms. The strategist collaborates across teams and partners to enhance marketing performance, data accuracy, operational efficiency, and digital adoption, while embodying the core values of Arkansas Federal Credit Union.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Campaign Strategy & Execution
· Plan and implement digital marketing campaigns by choosing appropriate channels, targeting, and objectives.
· Develop and execute email, text message, and push marketing campaigns, providing reporting on performance and optimization opportunities.
· Research and evaluate new digital marketing technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency.
Digital Product & Services Adoption
· Own member growth and adoption initiatives for SMS and email marketing opt-ins, ensuring consistent expansion of reachable audiences.
· Serve as the primary owner of digital banking services usage and enrollment, driving increased adoption of self-service digital tools.
· Oversee member adoption, engagement, and usage of key digital products, including digital banking, SavvyMoney (credit score monitoring), and digital payment solutions (mobile deposit, Zelle, wire transfers, and related services).
· Maintain and update SavvyMoney content and rate information to ensure accuracy and alignment with current offerings.
· Own administration and ongoing maintenance of the credit union's digital virtual assistant, including content updates, optimization, and experience improvements.
· Manage digital banking vendor relationships and platform coordination, including performance monitoring, reporting, and ongoing optimization (no paid media management required).
· Monitor enrollment and usage metrics for digital tools such as SMS communications and the mobile app; identify opportunities to improve awareness and adoption through targeted campaigns.
· Collaborate with product owners, data teams, and member experience teams to improve the digital user journey and increase utilization of self-service channels.
· Develop and maintain dashboards tracking key adoption KPIs, and share insights with stakeholders to guide strategy and communications.
Analytics & Reporting
· Build and maintain marketing dashboards and reports using Google Analytics 4 and Google Looker Studio.
· Track, analyze, and interpret key performance metrics to inform strategy and decision-making.
· Provide team-level and executive-level reporting on campaign performance, marketing effectiveness, and digital adoption trends.
· Identify trends and insights to recommend optimizations across digital channels, services, and campaigns.
Collaboration & Representation
· Represent the Marketing Department on cross-functional project teams within the credit union.
· Collaborate with internal and external creative, media, technology, and digital banking partners to achieve business objectives.
· Foster strong relationships within and outside the organization to identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and innovation.
· Demonstrate Arkansas Federal Credit Union's core values and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field.
· Two to three years of professional experience in digital marketing strategy, reporting, or operations.
· Experience with marketing automation, data integrations, or analytics preferred.
SKILLS REQUIRED· Strong understanding of digital marketing strategy, campaign management, and analytics. · Experience owning and administering marketing operations platforms such as Asana. · Proficiency with Google Analytics 4 and Google Looker Studio for reporting and data visualization.
· Working knowledge of marketing automation and integration tools such as Microsoft Power Automate and Zapier.
· Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation systems (e.g., ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo). · Understanding of website content management systems such as WordPress.
· Knowledge of digital media buying (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, programmatic display).
· Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both oral and written.
· Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
