Position Title: Digital Marketing Specialist / Commercial Team Executive Assistant (Remote or Corporate Office)
Position Overview
The Digital Marketing Specialist will lead strategic development, execution, and
optimization of digital marketing initiatives across the soft tissue repair portfolio, including
hernia repair, complex abdominal wall reconstruction, and breast reconstruction solutions.
This role will drive awareness, education, and adoption among key stakeholders—surgeons,
hospital systems, and distributors—by leveraging data-driven digital strategies that align
with corporate and commercial objectives.
Commercial Leadership Executive Assistant has two primary areas of responsibility: (i) provide executive level support for the company's President and other senior executives, including the Commercial General Managers (ii) provide support to the field-based sales leadership team. This role will report directly to the President of TELA Bio and dotted line to the Director of Marketing Communications as it relates to digital marketing implementation.
The successful candidate must be able to function efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. S/he will have a proven ability to independently manage multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities and deadlines, screen and prioritize communications and opportunities from external and internal sources and organize and maintain administrative processes and procedures. The ideal candidate will be polished and professional, dynamic, high-energy, organized, and be able to support cross-functional coordination in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent business judgment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement an integrated digital marketing strategy to support product launches, surgeon engagement, and market expansion within the soft tissue repair segment.
- Digital Campaign Management: Plan and execute multi-channel digital campaigns (SEO, SEM, email, social, web, paid media) that align with the broader marketing strategy and support sales objectives.
- Content Development & Optimization: Collaborate with product management, clinical, and medical education teams to create engaging, compliant digital content such as product training materials, webinars, video testimonials, case studies, and surgeon education materials.
- Website & Analytics Oversight: Manage the company's web presence for soft tissue repair solutions, ensuring optimal UX, SEO performance, and regulatory compliance. Monitor and report on key digital KPIs including engagement, conversion, and lead quality.
- Lead Generation & Nurturing: Build and maintain marketing automation workflows that identify, segment, and nurture leads across the surgeon and hospital buyer journey.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support: Partner closely with sales, product marketing, regulatory, and medical affairs teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with clinical claims and brand identity.
- Digital Innovation: Identify emerging trends in healthcare digital marketing and implement innovative tools (AI-driven content, personalized email, CRM integrations, virtual event platforms) to enhance engagement and ROI.
Executive Commercial Leadership Support
- Provide day-to-day administrative and project-based support to the President, Regional Leaders, Sales as well as other senior executives.
- Coordinate management team and regional sales meetings.
- Manage executives' calendars.
- Coordinate conference calls and WebEx meetings for all levels.
- Prepare sales reports, dashboards and other performance-based metrics as requested.
- Prepare Board and leadership team level presentations as requested; compile sales data and applicable information as needed.
- Handle confidential information in a professional and discreet manner.
- Maintain territory database; cross checking for new DSRs/ISRs as well as managing territory adjustments. Prepare territory amendments as necessary.
- Work with sales management team in preparing semi-monthly and annual sales forecasts.
- Provide management team with daily, quarterly and other sales reports and stack rankings.
- Maintain management team field activity schedule.
- Maintain sales organization chart and sales network document.
- Manage and maintain IDN/GPO/B2B target account activity log.
- Prepare and provide monthly Commercial Ops summary for management/BOD.
Sales Support
- Provide administrative support to the field-based sales team.
- Prepare field requested sales reports as necessary.
- Assist sales force in meeting deadlines for information submission, accepting data via phone or email.
- Work with sales force in gathering details for semi-monthly revenue forecast.
- Coordinate strategic AIA individual rep conference calls with sales management, participate. take notes, providing follow up and action items.
Education and Experience
- BA/BS Degree and/or relevant, equivalent experience
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and to function in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with ever changing priorities and demands for time.
- Ability to prioritize workload, to meet deadlines and to maintain a high level of quality and accuracy.
- Extremely effective verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
- Initiative, resourcefulness and great attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and maintain processes and procedures.
- Flexible, cooperative, and team-oriented; ability to build strong relationships and work well with other departments.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- 5+ years of executive level support preferably in a smaller entrepreneurial environment.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office as well as other software systems.
- Capability to quickly learn and master software.
- Extensive experience in coordinating conferences and meetings.

- Ability to carry and lift product inventory of up to 5 lbs.

Working Conditions
This position works in the home office or corporate office. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate.
Primary Location and Travel
We anticipate that on an ongoing basis this role will be based remotely or in the Corporate Office. Minimal travel expected.
