Description and Requirements
Role Summary:
We are looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Product Manager to lead the planning, execution, and performance tracking of Lenovo's product portfolio. This role involves managing the 4Ps strategy, inventory control, demand planning, and supporting sales and presales teams to drive business growth across key product families.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Business Status
- Develop and execute the 4Ps strategy (Product, Price, Place, Promotion), including prioritization, adjustments, and performance tracking.
- Monitor key business indicators (STAMP): units sold, revenue, BMC, TMC, PCON, and define strategies to meet targets.
- Analyze IDC historical data and forecasts to inform strategic decisions.
Product Knowledge & Positioning
- Understand product families (NT, DT, WKS, VSL, SSP, SC), their use cases, differentiators, and competitive landscape.
- Collaborate with Presales and DBMs to define value strategies for key deals.
- Keep the team informed about product transitions and shortages.
- Align with Presales on sizing needs and inventory planning to influence business outcomes.
Inventory Management
- Maintain optimal inventory levels and monitor provisioning and aging.
- Implement actions to reduce aging and excess stock.
- Request FOMs from clients, RR Colombia, and Panama Hub.
Demand Planning
- Lead monthly demand planning (excluding global accounts).
- Define minimum and final locks per product family and communicate with the sales team.
LTS (Last Time Sale) Management
- Manage FOMs for LTS products and coordinate strategies to move inventory.
- Source LTS products when needed, with support from internal stakeholders.
Big Deals Execution
- Oversee end-to-end management of large deals, ensuring all requirements are met throughout the process.
P&L and Fund Management
- Request regional and 1+1 funds.
- Conduct pricing analysis and supply sizing to define strategic approaches.
- Track fund usage throughout the quarter and present final summaries.
Client Engagement
- Represent Lenovo's value proposition and product families in client meetings.
- Understand and align with the vision and needs of key customers.
Partner Relations
- Collaborate with Intel and AMD to accelerate sales and support deals.
- Request relevant market share data and insights.
Events & Meetings
- Strategically select events to attend based on value contribution.
- Participate in weekly and biweekly meetings: sales, product, staff, BMS, and top detractors.
Operational Support
- Manage PSD requests during component shortages and prioritize with operations.
- Escalate recurring technical issues to the Business Unit via Services.
- Handle brand certificate requests (currently supported by Presales).
Demo Management
- Oversee demo inventory, request and prepare demos in collaboration with the team.
Sizing & Backup Support
- Learn sizing methodology to support Presales as a backup when needed.
