Role description

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Associate for our US team to help drive revenue growth by engaging  prospects, building sales pipelines, and crafting smart workflows. If you are an engaging and organized self-starter who is eager to work with clients that include some of the top publishers in the world, we want to hear from you.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support sales efforts in the U.S. market (primary), with exposure to international markets (Latin America, Australia)
• Generate qualified leads and re-engage past leads by running targeted outreach campaigns
• Maintain accurate records in CRM and track pipeline activity from lead to client onboarding and renewal
• Pursue entry into underserved markets (local, nonprofit, regional, niche publications)
• Collaborate with product and marketing teams to identify potential new revenue streams and shape future roadmaps
• Assist the News SEO Strategist on key initiatives such as client visits, conferences, and webinars

Requirements

• Experience in tech sales, business development, and account management
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Exhibit high energy and enthusiasm as one of our brand ambassadors, both online and at in-person industry events.
• Exposure to digital analytics, SEO tools, and online business practices
• Proficiency in working with CRM software and tools for managing sales pipelines
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Demonstrate flexibility to respond to a rapidly changing industry and evolving business strategies
• Ability to work effectively both independently and with teams across the company

Preferences

• Prior experience in a SaaS (Software as a Service) role is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, journalism, or a related field
• Interest and experience using AI technology is desirable
• Self-starter mindset with a willingness to learn and iterate
• Availability to travel to industry events as needed
• Bilingual (English, Spanish) is a plus
• Located in the US-East Coast time zone
