SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER, edX-Marketing Department, to own all social strategies and collaborate with marketing and stakeholders to craft compelling content to drive engagement, enrollments, and new learners to edX. Will drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from edX's social network presence; ensure all social media platforms are updated and maintained consistently and that customer inquiries are dealt with effectively; develop/design content and work with the design team on supporting digital content; collaborate with product, SEO, and marketing teams on new technologies and potential programs for social media; monitor and evaluate competitor activity to adapt and modify short- and long-term programs; monitor current news to provide relevant and timely social media posts; build, update, and manage edX's social media profiles and presence; create shareable content to spread edX brand, content, and links; run regular social promotions and campaigns and track success; and explore new ways to engage target learners.
REQUIRED: at least three years' experience in social media, PR, or content management; at least three years' experience creating and executing impactful Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Quora, Medium, and Reddit channels and campaigns and the unique voices used for each; experience in social media with a global brand and with gathering, interpreting, and acting on data analytics for social media campaigns; excellent social media copywriting skills; experience working directly with C-level executives on their social media strategy and voice; ability to design and produce graphical assets to accompany social posts; solid understanding of the digital landscape and paid social media advertising; experience managing a community and ability to connect people, stimulate discussion, and deal effectively with customers.
