Under the leadership of the Associate Director of Athletics for Marketing and Sales, this position:
Develops and manages a comprehensive marketing strategy to promote 42 Varsity sports, including 6 ticketed sports;
Creates and directs all promotional and advertising plans to generate ticket revenue, increase attendance, and enhance awareness of Harvard Athletics programs;
Secures corporate sponsorships and manages all fulfillment and client relations;
Responsible for strategic messaging to a diverse audience through social media and email marketing campaigns;
Identifies effective ways to deliver consistent branding and messaging through all marketing materials and digital channels;
Oversees game day management including scripts, promotions, customer service, band and special initiatives;
Collaborates on creative initiatives with internal and external groups to build community and pride in Harvard;
Supervises and manages Marketing interns.

Bachelor's degree required. At least 3 years of work experience in marketing and sales.
Ideal candidates must also have and demonstrate:
Experience with marketing and social media analytics to measure effectiveness of marketing initiatives, as well as experience with faciliitating customer surveys;
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Mac OS, Microsoft applications, HTML, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop;
Experience with email marketing and social media tools such as Constant Contact, Facebook, SnapChat, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google Analytics, video editing and mobile applications. Knowledge of emerging technologies;
Strong interest in and passion for sports and college athletics;
Ability to develop relationships with a wide variety of internal and external constituents;
Results-driven, pro-active approach;
Creative and innovative thinker;
Experience working with consultants and/or external agencies;
Ability to work evenings/ weekends and travel to select events;
Strong written and communication skills;
Demonstrated ability to manage projects and supervise staff;
Proven ability to work independently and multi-task; and
Detail-oriented and well-organized.
