Under general supervision of the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications, the marketing administrative assistant provides administrative support to the Marketing and Communications (MAC) Department. And:
Serves as liaison between MAC and Accounting and Purchasing departments.
Manages and keeps track of budget for the department
Assists Marketing Manager with project management duties and project database
Provides tracking of ads and marketing materials;
Processes requests for services
Obtain print and ad specialty estimates for district-level marketing projects
Inputs and compiles data into reports
Assists with vendor communications
Other duties as assigned
Associate degree or equivalent and more than three (3) years of progressively responsible secretarial/office management work experience.
Must pass skills assessment at the intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Word software.
Excellent communication and organizational skills; proven project management, accounting and budget experience
Some higher education experience
Customer service experience, especially in a communications/marketing environment
Experience working with marketing, print, ad specialty and media vendors
Experience using project management software (e.g. Basecamp)
Basic understanding of digital and offset print process and prior experience in gathering vendor estimates
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud a plus
