We are seeking a self-confident, enthusiastic, highly organized, and collaborative professional to join our successful Communications Department. This position will be an important part of our lively, creative team and plays an integral role in helping digitally and visually communicate Archer’s mission.
Support the development and implementation of strategic communication initiatives to both internal and external audiences
Coordinate projects and events through appropriate channels both in print and online including e-mail, website, social media, PR, publications, etc.
Collaborate with various departments across the School in production of creative requests
Assist with updates, analysis, and optimization of online communications using CRM, CMS, and related online systems
Develop and update general and program collateral material via design, copywriting, and editing as needed
Execute compelling communications to drive forward the Campus Master Plan, capital campaign, and related construction activities
Liaise with external vendors in development of projects including print production, photography, videography, etc.
Keep pace with industry trends and developments and present research, best practices and recommendations for further innovation
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Solid understanding of traditional and digital marketing elements with hands-on experience in building, implementing, and optimizing communications and campaigns
Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure with a wide range of internal constituents and external vendors
Excellent organizational, time management, oral and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail while being able to think strategically and understand the larger vision
Excellent working knowledge in general user experience design and fundamentals, HTML, CSS, CMS, and CRM systems including Blackbaud OnProducts/Raiser’s Edge
Solid computer skills, including MS Office, marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite & CRM) and applications (Web analytics, SurveyMonkey, etc.)
Demonstrated creative capability in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; flexibility regarding responsibilities
Perform outstanding customer service at all times
Superior interpersonal skills
A good sense of humor and enthusiasm for a high-energy work environment
Spanish language fluency a plus
Education and/or Experience:
2-3 years of experience in an independent school desirable but not required. Applicants from agency, non-profit, or corporate backgrounds are welcome to apply.
Demonstrated experience in job responsibilities.
BA degree required.
Minimum of two years equivalent experience.
