WRITER/EDITOR, Questrom School of Business, Marketing and Communications

The Writer/Editor is responsible for the creation of accurate, engaging, and informative brand-based content for print and digital materials, the Questrom website, and various social media channels. Reporting to the Associate Director, the Writer/Editor works independently and with the Marketing & Communications team on specific projects for a variety of audiences. The work of Marketing & Communications is done to advance the mission, vision, and values of the Questrom School of Business, the role of the Writer/Editor is a critical component of this work.
Must submit a cover letter and three writing samples to be considered.
Demonstrated ability to create engaging content for print, web, and social media
Experience in researching, interviewing, writing, and editing with careful attention to detail under tight deadlines
Willingness to learn and apply the Questrom brand standards, especially messaging and voice
Ability to write for many different audiences while maintaining a unified brand voice
Knowledge of the creative process
Familiarity with WordPress
Experience with social media channels and interest in evolving forms of new media and their applications
Ability and willingness to master new processes and technologies
Skilled at prioritizing work on concurrent projects
Strong commitment to professionalism, professional responsibility, and personal accountability
Curious, self-motivated, and collaborative
Comfortable stretching roles and responsibilities to accomplish agreed upon goals and objectives
BA/BS required, communications, journalism, marketing, or related field preferred
3-5 years experience writing and editing professionally preferred, will consider internships and/or academic work as part of length of experience
Active on social media
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
