Carolina Development is seeking applications for the position of Director of Annual Giving-Direct Marketing. Reporting to the Executive Director of Annual Giving, the Director will oversee and drive the strategy for a multi-channel, donor-centric communications program, including direct mail, telephone constituency engagement, email, crowd funding, and other digital strategies. The Director will manage the direct marketing team.
Education and Experience:
3-5 years of demonstrated successful annual giving or transferrable experience required. Ability to develop trust and strong collaborative working relationships. Experience nurturing and motivating development professionals in order to foster professional growth and exceed organizational goals. Ability to interact effectively in a comprehensive research university setting. Familiarity with the University’s academic and administrative offices and their functions; knowledge of and ability to tap resources within the University community. An employment history highlighted by increasing levels of responsibility and a demonstrated ability to exercise sensitivity and good judgment in dealing with staff and the public. Superb interpersonal relationship skills. Exceptional written and oral communications skills.
