Digital Communications and Marketing Manager (.85 FTE)

Responsible for the management of the complete development lifecycle of the organization’s website
Leads the processes for launching a new website, including leading various stakeholders, a web working group, and serving as project lead overall; oversees design process; identifies ways to improve website layout, paying attention to end-user experience and coherence of organizational image
Coordinates web projects for L’Arche USA and its members, and ensures coherence of brand in all aspects of digital communications, including maintaining a consistent look and feel throughout all web properties
Creates (including writing as necessary), develops and manages content for organization’s web presence
Oversees freelancers, trains colleagues on the use of CMS, as needed.
Coordination of system administrators and communication with data center regarding hosting setups, configurations, and troubleshooting
Identifies trends and insights, and optimizes spend and performance based on the insights
Provides dynamic content updates through the lens of an internally designated editorial committee
Manages domain names and vendor relationships related to the website
Directs, helps write, manages, and publishes e-news, e-solicitations, and other e-communications, in addition to social media and web postings
Responsible for all social media and video channels
Strategizes, implements and tests search engine and social media marketing, including but not limited to AdWords, Keyword planning, Youtube and Facebook
Responsible for SEO, analytics, and data related to all digital content and tools; measures and reports performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assesses against goals
Other Communications Duties:
Establishes and manages a digital communications editorial committee
Works as a key member for developing, implementing, and evaluating an annual giving communications plan
Puts communications vehicles in place to create momentum and awareness as well as to test the effectiveness of communications activities
When needed, takes the lead role for any graphic design projects, including working with design and print vendors and even doing some desktop publishing where appropriate
Serves as a lead reference person for all multimedia (film, radio, TV, photos, etc.) contacts
Manages all digital archival projects and serves as the lead for video and photo media asset management
Works with various staff on donor-related engagement projects
Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and supervisor
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years’ work experience within a nonprofit setting, particularly in the area of digital communications and / or digital marketing.
Working knowledge of Adobe Bridge, Lightroom and Photoshop and proficiency with Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere. Ability to work in other software such as Creative Adobe Cloud, InDesign and other desktop publishing software, HTML programs, and proficiency in CMS platforms, web analytics, and data management.
Superior written communications and editing skills; knowledge of the fund-raising process and the concepts of donor relations and communications.
