Marketing Coordinator Athletics Louisiana State University
80% Development and implementation of strategic initiatives to increase attendance and revenue at LSU women’s athletic events, including Gymnastics, Volleyball, Track & Field and assist with Baseball marketing; Develop and execute plan to market and distribute tickets to community organizations and through school programs the Baton Rouge area; Coordinate and supervise the LSU Bat Girl program and the Bengal Brigade street team; Coordinate office duties and schedule of LSU Marketing graduate assistants and student interns.
10% Work with internal publications team in coordinating printing of schedule cards, posters, ticket brochures and other promotional pieces; Coordinate Special Events, Mike the Tiger Social Media, including associated appearance events.
10% Assist with Game Experience for assigned sports and football.
Bachelor’s degree and a combination of one year of athletic administration experience at the collegiate, professional or minor-league level, which may include student employment, graduate assistantships or internships.
Master’s degree or equivalent degree; Excellent communication and computer skills; Ability to perform detail-oriented yet creative work and be willing to handle multiple assignments; Ability to sell through speech, writing, and direct selling skills; Innovative and have working knowledge of all social media platforms; Work well in a team environment with full-time marketing staff members, student workers, coaches, other athletic department staff members, campus staff, and members of the greater community.
Special or Physical Qualifications:
Ability to work extended days, weekends and holidays. Travel is required.
